Colored Threads and Stitches
When I stitch the date 2013 into a project that has spanned much too much time, it is time to finish it up. The stitches are slow. I work multiple needles at once. And I want to move on. I want to explore larger projects, larger in scale that is. These little pixels of wool offer too little of a reward. So what do I do? I post this picture on the web. An effort at speech. Do others invest their leisure in this projects that consume precious hours? I know some that can do these while watching TV. Not I. Even my eyes beg for natural light to better see the web of the canvas where stitches go diagonally, where colors need the light to distinguish a blue from a light blue, an orange from a pink.
